About the Mark

FAIRTRADE 인증 마크The FAIRTRADE Certification Mark is a registered trademark of Fairtrade International (FLO). It certifies that products meet the social, economic and environmental standards set by Fairtrade.

What does the Mark represent?

The graphic symbol inside the FAIRTRADE Mark is of a person with a raised arm representing the optimism of producers and linking the everyday determination of people in developing countries with the aspiration of consumers around the world.

The blue sky of potential is connected to the green of growth. This symbol forms the basis of the Fairtrade Brand Mark and the Certification Mark.

The FAIRTRADE Certification Mark was introduced by FLO in 2002. The Fairtrade Brand Mark was introduced in 2011.


Using the FAIRTRADE Mark

All uses of the Mark (by licensees, producers, traders or third parties) on products or for promotional purposes require prior written approval from FLO or a Fairtrade LI.


Where to apply or request information

To use the Fairtrade Mark as licensees or third parties or to become a licensee based in Korea, please contact the Fairtrade Marketing Organization (Fairtrade) Korea at fairtrade4korea@fairtrade.net. The FAIRTRADE Certification Mark (‘the Mark’) is a product label primarily intended for use on product packaging. It is licensed by Fairtrade International (FLO) and the national Fairtrade Labelling Initiatives (LI). With appropriate written permission, the Mark can also be used on wholesale packaging or for promotional use (e.g. posters, leaflets, web pages, etc).
